AD8597/8599 Power Supply

Hello all

It is possible to use the AD8597/AD8599 with a single Power Supply? The datasheet has a dual supply in the absolute maximum ratings (+-18V) and it's not clear whether the Chip also be used with a single Voltage source. I need 12V Power Supply with 6V Offset.

Senter,

Whether an op amp is spec'ed for single or split supplies, there is no ground pin, so you can run it on anything you want.

Instead of +/-15V, you could use +100V and +130V, -50V and -20V, or Ground and +30V. The op amp does care.

HOWEVER, you still need to respect the input and output specs.

On +/-15V, the Input Voltage Range is +/-12.5V.

On ground and 12V, you would have IVR of 2.5V to 9.5V.
