I have a sensing system in development that has two metal problems in a fluid that are opposite of each other and 12mm apart. They are in a small magnetic field and fluid flows between them. The probes are not powered and we measure small DC voltage baseline (which can meander some) between 50 mv and 200 mv depending on the fluid conditions. We have hooked this up with a differential amplifier using a TI LM10 with 220K ohm input resistors and 470K ohm feedback resistors and got good output. However, this seems to behave unreliably, and we aren't sure why yet.
I came across the AD8232 and wonder if it might be useful for this application. We need an analog output to feed into our microcontroller and it looks like it has that output. But can we hook up our probes in place of the ECG probes and get a useful signal? What other problems might we end up with?
I'm new to this resource so if this needs to be posted somewhere else or should have searched on other terms, please kindly let me know.
Thanks,
walter
