EVAL-ADA4558- nonlinearity and temperature compensation-calculator

Hello,

The EVAL ADA4558 has a calculator app with coefficients, which can be defined before calling the app depending on the target linearity and needed factors.

The file is set to standard parameters and cant modify it as admin.

I can modify the file as text file, save it, but the changed parameters are not took in account and the app works only with the standard values.

I cant found in the datasheet something where this values are stored or how to modify them.

Ill be thankfull for further help.

  • Is it possible at all to open the calculator with Matlab ? I want to check the way how the calculator is working.

  • Hi,

The default installation directory for the bridge sensor calculator and its trim text file is C:\Analog Devices\EVAL-ADA4558\BridgeCalibration
The default installation directory for the temperature sensor calculator and its trim text file is C:\Analog Devices\EVAL-ADA4558\TempCalibration

Trim.dat contains the inputs to the calculator in each folder. Ada4588_p_cal.exe calculates the coefficients for the bridge sensor and outputs the results to nvm.dat. The GUI executes this and displays the results on screen.

For list of parameters available with the calculator see "calculating bridge sensor coefficients" in the ADA4558 Hardware Reference Manual.
