How to interpret Fig:10 in the Data-sheet of AD8421

Hi,

I understood that the Fig 10 in the data-sheet of AD8421 depicts the allowed input common mode voltage with respect to output swing.

My spec:

Input swing ==> +/-11.5V

Output swing ==> +/-5V ( using the application circuit mentioned in Fig 70 of AD8421 data-sheet)

Gain : 1 V/V

Supply voltage minimum is : +/-14V

In Fig 10, the absolute maximum voltages are not clear.

Can IA, AD8421, perform well with the above input and output swing. Please explain the way to interpret the correct information from Fig 10.

Thanks,

Jebas.

  • Hi,

    The figure 10 to 13 shows the Input Common-mode vs Output Voltage Swing hexagon plot limitation. It shows that your input common mode and your output voltage swing should be inside the hexagon plot with respect to your supply voltage.

    It is explained in detail in this video.
