AD8230 strange outputs

Hello,

I am using AD8230 with single supply of 10V for bridge measurement like showed in

data sheet. The output voltage measured to ground is always at 9.8V not matter what

level inputs have. Like I measured diff voltage between inputs are in range of 10mV and

with gain of 10 I expect tohave 100mV,but it is not like that.

Could be a problem in single supply?

regards,

  • Hi Toni,

There should be no problem in using a single supply voltage of 10V since it is within the operating range of the device. However, if you are using single supply operation, the reference voltage is usually set at Vs/2. You can set the reference input voltage that you want but you need to set the reference input within the specification of the part. Here is the reference input voltage specification of AD8230.

For more information, kindly read the level-shifting the output section of the datasheet on page 12.

    Regards,

    Jay
