Hi,
We are using LTC6405 similar to the way described in "Figure 2. AC Test Circuit (–3dB BW Testing)" described on page 14.
The circuit as such is stable but when we are using the SHDN pin to switch on the AMP we see oscillation in the output for quite some time.
Is this expected, do you have any workaround for this . We tried this circuit on LTSPICE but we could not see such behavior.
Do you have any document on with regards to points to be taken care of when using SHDN during such an application.
Thanking you
With best regards
Hi ,
Does anyone have a view on this.
Hello,
Please let me look onto this.
Thanks and regards.
What is the input level you use to drive the SHDN pin? Did you tied it your V-?The turn-on and turn-off time between the shutdown and active states are typically less than 1us.
We are using V- during the shutdown.
Out is not stable for like 2-3 sec and then becomes stable.
We see an oscillation of about 20MHz when it is unstable.
Do we have any relation between SHDN and OPAMP working stability?
If so could you please share the points to be taken care of.
With best regards and wishes
The oscillation on the output will probably occur when your supply/amplifier is not yet stabilized.
May I also know what package of LTC6405 do you have? There is a note on the bottom part of the page that specifies Rf, Ri, and Cf depending on the package.
