to connect or not to connect Multiple ADA4930-2 Vocm(x) together

Hello ADA4930-2 experts

Please can you advise, either to connect or not to connect Multiple ADA4930-2 Vocm's together for the following scenarios.

Require to use/connect 4 x ADA4930-2 (effectively having 8x Vocm) into 1x AD9681 (with only 2 Vcm) as inputs.

ADA4930-2 = is a dual ultra low noise driver for low voltage ADC

AD9681      = is an Octal, 14-bit 125 MSPS ADC (with only 2 x Vcm)

Thanks and Regards,

Ching

  • Hi Ching,

    You can actually use any op amps as a buffer but I would recommend AD8542, ADA4001-2, or AD8672 because these are low noise, low input bias current op amps that suit your application.

    Also, since you need only two buffers (one for each AD9681's VCM) you can use dual op amps like the one I suggested above in order to save space in your board.

    Take note that the output of the buffer can be directly connected to the four Vocm of ADA4930.
