OP97 Single Power Supply

Hi All,

OP97 does not accept a single power supply? I tested it as I-V conversion function as attached.

Connecting 4 pin to -15V power, the OP97 output voltage changes corresponding to amount of light (OP97 works normally), but the output voltage does not change (2V fixed) when 4 pin is connected to GND.

If the OP97 accepts a single power supply, would you let me know what I should pay attention to design.

V- needs to be at least -1.5V for the OP97 to work. I suggest you look to a different OpA with rail-to-rail input and output and low bias current. You could try e.g. the AD820, your circuit might just…

Harry-san,

4 pin (V- pin) is needed less than -1.5V since 2 pin (-IN pin) is GND. Am I correct?
