ADA4927-1 / ADA4927-2 power-down feature below 0°C

Our device should work with wide temperature range, but in datasheet at ADA4927-1 / ADA4927-2 we've found that:

The power-down feature should not be used in applications in which the ambient temperature falls below 0°C. Contact sales for information regarding applications that require the power-down feature to be used at ambient temperatures below 0°C.

We need power-down feature work at temperatures below 0°C. What can be done for it?

    Apologies for responding late.

    Unfortunately, ADA4927-X PowerDown does not work well in cold temperatures. That means the part will power down but it will take a long time to power up.

    Do AD have alternatives for ADA4927-X with full-functional Power Down feature? Can you recommend an alternative? It is necessary that the power supply will be bipolar (+-3.3V), bandwidth at least 500 MHz with a gain = 2, the operating temperature range -40 to +85 °C or wider, the ability to quickly switch to a power down mode at any temperature, the minimum consumption in active mode.

  • What is meant by "a long time"?  Will it start in tens of microseconds...in milliseconds...in seconds?  Is it progressively slower to start up as the die temperature is decreased?  Does it ever fail to start below 0 ºC altogether?  Does it always recover proper functionality of the Power Down pin when warmed to above 0 ºC?
