Hi AD team,We have used the AD7771 in our design, We have a requirement to process 16 Analog single ended signal. We have used the SPI interface between the Processor and ADC.In the datasheet specified has only how to made synchronization between the multiple ADC's of same family but not specified about the interface to simultaneously process using the single SPI. Could you please guide me to proceed with the single SPI interface and How to get the two ADC data simultaneously. Looking forward to hear from you.
I am not sure I follow your question. The AD7771 is a simultaneous sampling device, all channels are sampled simultaneously. No need to do anything to make it simultaneous. The ADC data, when ready (DRDY assertion), can be read through wither the DOUT interface or SPI interface.
On the SPI interface, all eight channels are clocked out through SDO, sequentially. If you wanted to read only CH0 and CH1, it would be enough on clocking out 2x32 serial clocks, in between the receipt of two DRDY pulses.
If you wanted two AD7771 to work simultaneously, that´s a bit more tricky and addressed on a technical article. If you want to read from both devices, they could share CS and SCLK and dedicated SDI/SDO per AD7771.
