Want to use instrumentation amplifier instead of differential amplifier; but it is hard to meet instrumentation amplifier requirement

Hi Shurp:  LTC6800 is only cleared for 5V use.  Use LTC2053; both are strictly speaking instrumentation amplifiers.  (They are practically the same chip, actually, so if LTC6800 worked then LTC2053 will work.)  The "common mode" is defined as the average of the 2 input voltages.

GlenBrisebois Hmm. I was thinking of using an instrumentation amplifier with the three op-amp configuration but looking at the LTC6800 or LTC2053, they seems different even though it does say that it is an instrumentation amplifier. I guess I will work with this for now. I really wanted to try and use the three op-amp configuration type since there are a lot of those on digikey and mouser.
