I'd like to simulate AD8476 using LTsice XVII, but can't use existing .cir file of its micro-model.
Is it possible to convert the existing file in LTsice XVII model?
Do you mean that you have tried the model and it is not working for you? Or you do not see it in the library? In the case of the latter, the circuit files we have on the web should still work in LTspice.
Please see this thread for instructions on how to create a symbol for a device that is not in the library.
Let me know if you need something else.
1. I can't run the model, getting the following notification:
2. I couldn't also create the symbol from the model.
3. I've created the symbol separately from the menu of LTspice with name AD8476.asy and using pins orders/numbers according to the macro-model (it matches to the DS of AD8476).
4. How I need to associate .cir file with .asy file?
Thanks for your support,
You need to make sure the attributes are correct for the symbol file. The quickest way I've found that you can check this is to open the symbol as a text file. These are the attributes that LTspice needs to see:
"Value" and "Value2" should be AD8476 in your case. You will also need to make sure that the attribute "SpiceModel" matches the circuit file for the AD8476.
In your LTspice library, the symbol file needs to go into the "sym" folder, while the circuit file should go to the "sub" folder. That should be enough to make it work.
