PCB design for LTC6400

Hello, the LTC6400 has several pins for the V + (Pins 1, 3, 10) and V– (Pins 4, 9, 12, 17). The question is: Do they all need to be connected or just one pin for V + and one pin for V- would be enough. The question arises from a need for PCB design.

  • Thank you for the help. In fact, i wanted to ask for confirmation for functional and performance issues. Another question if possible: On the datasheet, pin 17 is associated with the negative power supply or ground ("V– (Pins 4, 9, 12, 17): Negative Power Supply. All four pins must be connected to same voltage / ground") but in the software I am testing pin 17 is not currently associated with V– / Ground . I could modify the footprint so that it can create interconnect tracks between all pins and have only one leak track to connect it to the power supply. So the question is: Is it correct to electrically associate Pin17 with 4-9 e12?

  • The 6400-X 17 is an exposed pad under the package and must be connected to V-.
