OP97 Short Circuit Duration

May I know what type of application you're planning with the OP97? A quick overview also on your concerns regarding the OP97's short circuit duration with your application would be helpful.

Vout is desired to short to COM by a push button switch for a few seconds to test the downstream signal path.  The concern is - will this produce internal damage or degradation to the OP97?

This could potentially degrade the performance of the OP97 or damage the part altogether. Would it possible to place a series resistor with the push button to limit the current?
