I am trying to use AD8138 to drive a ADC. I bought the evaluation board for it. I have a little problem regarding the board schematic in the user guide.
On the board, there is a SMA connector which is connected to the pin 7 of the DUT AD8138. There are also some resistors connected with it. But pin 7 of AD8138 is no-connection in the datasheet. I also checked the other datasheet of AD8131, AD8132, AD8139. The pin 7 of these devices are also no-connection. So my question is what this SMA connector is used for?
Because this board is universal, we use it for all diff amps in SOIC package like the AD8137.
Pin 7 is the power down pin which sometime customers like to toggle it to power the diff amp on and off.
I hope this answers your question.
