Hi,
can the voltages for the Clamp-Pins of the Driver be generated by a volatage divider or need to driven by an external power source?
Thank you and kind regards
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
+VClamp and -Vclamp can be driven by either a voltage divider network or by an external power supply. However, when you chose to drive via voltage divider network always consider it's internal resistance for accurate voltage clamping. In the case of 4945, it's typically 480kohms

For the clamp feature to work properly (This information is omitted from the Rev. 0 data sheet): Vcc ≥ +Vclamp + 0.80V Vee ≤ -Vclamp - 0.70V Vcc - Vee ≥ 4.0V
Clamp offset voltage (measured on a few parts, so try this for yourself): Low power mode: 370mV High power mode: 540mV
