I have a bunch of OP97 op amps that I'm trying to simulate in LTSPICE- so I have a few questions:
1) Why is this not found in the LT SPICE library? Or anywhere else ?
2) Can I use the OP07 as a simulation model instead?
3) When using an existing spice model such as OP07, I can't see anything inside the model, like what parameters it is simulating with. Is that intended? I know for example, I can look at parameters like beta, etc, for a transistor and even change it, sweep it, whatever.
Thank you in advance
Hi jweaver: You can't see the various specs. But you can test them in circuit, the same ways you might do it on the bench (or even more easily in spice ).
For the OP97, I would use an LT1097. For the…
The OP07 is over 35 years old. The generations have been OP77, 177, 2177, and now ADA4077 and ADA4177.
For most general work, you could use the OP2177 model.
Op amp models are macromodels, not primitives, so the model writer can add as much or as little as he wants.
That is good information- I wish all parts’ websites mentioned when they were first released-
