Near Field Boundary

Question

Is it possible to get meaningful signals if the CN0566 radar sensor is 15 cm from the target? I know it's near field boundary is about 64cm but I need the radar sensor to be as close as possible to capture some subtle changes. Is there any way to perform some software-based phase correction? Or some kind of calibration that kind be done?

Hi Jose, that's a great question, and there is a lot of interest and research being done on exploiting the near field -- particularly for calibration. But that's probably outside of the expertise offered from ADI's EngineerZone.)
