I am looking to use these make a product for data transfer over POT lines, given the current status of this IC should i use these as its recomended to not use these for new design, if not what are the good alternatives.

Hi zayant21 ,
This is a very old part, one application note is nearly 20 years old:
Given the "Not recommended for new designs" warning, you should consider alternatives, it looks like there are a few out there from other manufacturers, but look for similar warnings regarding new designs.
A quick web search on "V.22bis soft modem" turned up a few results, another option would be to implement the protocol in software in an FPGA or microcontroller if you can find a suitable library.

I know , but this seems to be the closest to what im looking for with the AT COMMAND interface.
Few Questions:
1: if add more than readily available in stock from any platforms i get rest of the chips as backorder with 10 weeks of lead time? is factory still making these ?
2: Does analog devices still sell these chips ? if Yes, since there is no similar or close alternative, will analog devices continue to support this ?
Hi zayant21 ,
For information beyond technical support (lifecycle, availability, etc.) you'd have to open a customer service request:
