Installing python on ARM

There are two main methods for adding new software to Pluto.

1. Build it into the firmware itself (note that Pluto has very limited space) by modifying the buildroot config. If you are unfamiliar with buildroot see its documentation here: The Buildroot user manual  

2. Package all code and dependencies onto a USB stick and run from there. Basic idea is shown here: Building Apps For PlutoSDR Standalone [Analog Devices Wiki]  USB OTG [Analog Devices Wiki] So for python you would need to build python for Pluto's specific architecture and sysroot (primarily glibc). You will likely find guides on cross-compile python itself by they don't exist from ADI.

Thank you. Tell me if it is possible to install a fast lock for all frequencies that are multiples of 20 MHz? Since when switching between 100 and 2500 MHz, I see a delay of 20 ms, which is quite a lot for my purposes. The frequencies to be set should be arbitrary.

Fastlock is limited to 8 profiles. If you need more, you will need to load them from a baseband processor while switching among the others.

Please explain in more detail. I am new to this equipment.

In regards to using the fastlock feature with Python or generally from software, dynamically loading profiles can be challenging depending on dwell time requirements. Processing in the ARM on Pluto or on a remote systems will not be deterministic and can incur latencies, so it can be difficult to meet tight timings. If you need to perform fast hopping in real-time while loading new profiles, you would likely need to leverage a real-time SPI engine within the HDL fabric itself.
