function USB plug Pluto

Question

Just received my Pluto revision B type. I do not understand the function of the enclosed plug 
 
 Could somebody explain the function ?

It's basically a USB type A to micro USB OTG adapter. 
 You can plug this into a Memory Stick and then insert it into Pluto's OTG USB port while being powered from the Power USB socket...
