Sweeping LO frequency of Adalm Pluto to generate SFCW

What do you mean by LO startup time? What do you want to phase synchronize with?

1. When switching the LO frequency, the LO does not work at an interval of about 30us, we think this is the restart time of the LO, and we want to know how to reduce this time.

2. When switching LO frequency, the random phase will appear in the LO of tx and rx. We want to know how to avoid such a random phase. We learn that using an external clock can eliminate this effect, but we need to change the LO frequency in real-time, so we don't know whether this scheme is applicable to our project.

By the way, the reason why we want to synchronize the LO of RX and TX is that we need to measure the phase difference between the carrier wave and the reflected wave to measure the distance, so we need to synchronize the LO

1. To retune the LO at that speed will require use of fast lock profiles. See the UG570 document.

2. Phase cannot be made deterministic with the device. Using an external reference clock will not help.

The only mechanism to phase sync is to perform external calibration against a known source.
