ADALM1000 not even recognized as a USB device

Hello:

It seems that your board might not be in the boot loader. Have you tried shorting the jumper on the PCB that forces it into the boot loader as outlined in this other thread:

 ADALM1000 was not recognized by Pixelpulse2. 

After shorting this jumper the board should be in the boot loader and should show up in the Windows Device manager as outlined in the above answer. Once in that state Bossa should find it at the COM: port listed in the device manager.

Some progress when I short the jumper;

I can see the device in Windows under Universal Serial Buss devices as SAM-BA

and the driver appears up-to-date.

I then tried to update the firmware with BOSSA but the device does not appear

on any com port. Under Linux, I see the device as a TTY ACM 0, but PixelPulse

under Linux is unable to update the firmware.

If I could the the device to come up as a COM port under windows, I might

be able to un-brick it.

Suggestions?

When in the boot loader as a SAMBA device Windows Device manager should indicate which COM: port number the board is connected to.
