When I install the relevant drivers from https://wiki.analog.com/university/tools/pluto/drivers/windows (and I have tried with Mac) my Pluto SDR is not recognized under Portable Devices. I would like to mention that I bought this in August 2019 and when I got it, I believe I corrupted it and have had the issues since (I haven't tried to fix it since then as I have been busy). I was told that the way to fix it would be for me to put it in DFU mode here: https://wiki.analog.com/university/tools/pluto/users/firmware however I am unable to do that as I don't know how to ssh into it and I cannot see my Pluto SDR in it at all.
DFU mode does not require SSH. Did you follow those instructions on the DFU page?

I am trying to. When I do:
iio_attr -a -C fw_version
in powershell nothing happens. is there a step I am missing? I have it connected to my computer and to the wall outlet.
Please start from the DFU section of that page. The first half assumes you have a working Pluto and want to update the firmware. The second half focuses on using DFU mode.

I am still confused
1. Do i hold the pin in the hole while turning it on? it has not made a difference
2. "From the device linux console type device_reboot sf. There are three ways to access the linux console:" I do not know how to do this because my SDR is not able to even connect to my computer and be recognized.
1. Keep the button depressed while plugging in the USB port.
2. DFU is a recovery mode if the device becomes bricked somehow. Pluto will enter DFU mode if booting fails which is signaled by a solid LED (not blinking) and the DFU device will appear in device manager on windows or as a DFU device in Linux/MacOS from the kernel messages.
Are your lights blinking normally (LED1 blink and Ready Solid)? What appears in device manager?
-Travis
device manager doesnt say anything. light is solid blue
edit: also i'm going to turn on my notifications for this site so i can respond fast, i really apologize for the delay when i'm not intending to delay
Ok if you just have 1 light that is solid blue the device is in DFU mode already. Assuming you do not have custom firmware that changes the lights. The device should appear in device manager under USB devices. If it doesn't, change the USB cable and try powering Pluto with a second USB cable plugged into the right USB port as well as the central data USB port.

i have been using the power port and have changed the usb cables, as well as put it into a different port, it's still not working.
anyone have any idea how to fix this? as of now, my pluto is stuck in dfu mode with LED1 at solid blue light no blinking, even trying with different ports and cables.
Can you try your Pluto on a different machine to determine if the DFU device enumerates?
