ADALM2000 pin connector keeps falling off pins is there a way to secure the pins?

Molex connector keeps falling off of the pins of the ADALM200. Seems there must be a way to secure the connector to the pins. Is there?

  • Hello,

The crimp pins inside the black connector may loosen after multiple pluggings. You can try to remove them from the housing and fasten them with a tweezer (if you don’t have any other tools). This may result in a better grip between the pin and the connector header. Be extra careful not to break the connector housing because the wire will fall off.

  • I have had the same problem with the 10 pin connector on my adalm2000 kit since it arrived and it has been very frustrating to say the least. The connector is very loose and keeps falling off. By now, the wires are probably loose as well, and there is a lot of white noise when I try to use it, making the kit unusable.

Is there some way to get a replacement part for this connector?

  • Hello,

you can try and replace the connector with another 0.1" (2.54mm) 20 position receptacle housing connector, using the method I described above.

A more simple solution would be to use some female/female jumper wires with 0.1" (2.54 mm) sockets. They will fit next to each other in the standard 0.1" (2.54 mm) header of ADALM2000.

  • I have the same exact problem on 2 brand new ADAML units. The cable falls off as if the header pins are too thin.
