Burst Mode for adalm pluto with python?

Good afternoon all,

 

I am working with ADALM-PLUTO and developing a python interface do perform spectrum analysis. I wanted to ask, what would be the best approach to read large amounts of IQ data from the SDR.

Right now, I am performing several captures on after another to achieve the amount of samples I want (I am using pyadi-iio library). However, this may cause loss of information in between measurements. So, I did some search , and came across with the burst mode. Would this be a better approach to capture large amounts of samples without losses?

If so how big can I set the burst buffers? And is there any python example I can use to implement the burst mode in the PLUTO?
