Hi,I recently purchased an ADALM-PLUTO module, I'm using it on a Ubuntu virtual machine with the PlutoSDR connected via USB.
I would like to make a GPS receiver. For this, it seems to me that the following software should be suitable: https://gnss-sdr.org/
At the same time, I also want to "emulate" a GPS position with the following software: github.com/.../pluto-gps-sim
So my final idea would be to send a GPS position with the transmitter that would be received by the receiver, all thanks to the ADALM-PLUTO module.
I tried with both softwares, but it was impossible to receive any GPS position....
Have you ever made this kind of system before? Is the idea feasible? Do I have to use in antennas adapted to the right frequencies for this?
Thank you and best regards,Maxime
We have not tested these third party projects. However, I would recommend asking the authors of those projects of they verify they work and see if they create compatible data sets.
In general for GPS you need a powered GPS antenna.
