I received my ADALM on 11/2/2018, downloaded the Windows drivers and SCOPY. I connect to the ADALM via SCOPY and able to run the oscilloscope for about 1 min before SCOPY "freezes" (Windows Not Responding).
Anyone else have this experience?
Can you please provide more information about the setup that you were using when you encountered this issue? (oscilloscope parameters, other instrument running in parallel, etc.)
Also please make sure that the Scopy application is up to date: https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/scopy/releases and the windows drivers as well: https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/plutosdr-m2k-drivers-win/releases.
Consider also upgrading your firmware to the latest release: https://wiki.analog.com/university/tools/m2k/common/firmware
What are the minimum system and OS requirements for SCOPY running on windows?
I've loaded the latest drivers, scopy, and firmware
Running on the following platform:
Windows 7 Dell Latitude E5500Intel Core 2 Duo CPU 2.66 GHz4GB memory
I've uploaded screen shots
We haven't tested on Core2Duo CPUs yet. It is unclear whether this is a performance or some kind of library compatibility issue. In order to diagnose can you answer these questions ?
What parameters are you running the oscilloscope at ? (timebase or samplerate) Are you running other instruments at the same time.
Are you encountering the same issues at lower sample rates (e.g 10 ms timebase / 10khz sample rate) ?
Can you connect to the device through the RNDIS interface and check if you have the same problems ? (instructions here - https://wiki.analog.com/university/tools/m2k/scopy#connecting_to_a_remote_device )
Are you running a 32bit or 64bit OS ?
Are you connecting to the device through a docking station ? (we've had trouble with these in the past)
200us - I'm using the default settings. Have the same issue with lower rates
I've run Power Supply and/or Signal generator at the same time.
Running RNDIS does NOT have the same issues so far <-- Seems to be stable
No Docking station
Other Note: I've tried it on another laptop I have (Lenovo Thinkpad: Intel Core i5-6300U / 8 GB memory) and had the same issue running straight USB. I've also disabled all services that were not absolutely necessary (Virus scanner, anti-malware, firewall, 3rd party software, 3rd party update software, etc).
