Pluto was working nicely on Windows 10 with latest firmware and driver (0.7). Next I installed the Matlab Communication Thing to use it from Matlab. The component installed - again - the driver and when I clicked on the configure button device was not found. I re-plugged the device and nothing happened - like I did not plug anything into the PC - even used usbview from debug tools to check and it shows nothing was plugged. I tried different USB ports with the same result. All ports work fine if I plug something else into them (tried both USB 2 and 3 devices). If I plug the PLUTO into other computer it will work correctly (ie shows up as mass storage). On the PLUTO the Ready LED is on and LED1 is blinking after plugin in.
I reinstalled the driver about 10 times. Tried to uninstall it, also uninstalled all the hidden devices manually in device manager, all without success.
Any idea what could be wrong and what I can do about it?
We haven't came across such as case yet. So you say if you plug the device nothing changes in the device manager?
-Michael
Also have you tried rebooting?
-Travis
I'm having the same problem. Everything was working fine, then I unplugged the device and when I plugged it back in it didn't show up anymore. Rebooting and shutting down didn't help. I started the Pluto device in programming mode and it didn't show up in device manager that way either.
When plugged into my laptop now the ready light is steady and LED1 flashes twice, continuously. (2 flashes, pause, 2 flashes pause, etc.)
Are you running Win10? If so, when you plug in the the device does a pop-up appear saying "USB not recognizable"? Have you tried switching to different USB port on your laptop?
I am running Windows 10. No popup appears. I tried both USB ports on my laptop. I plugged the device back into my Linux box and it worked fine there. I went ahead and updated the firmware using the Linux box in case that might have been the issue, but it still doesn't work when I plug it back into my laptop.
Did you consider reinstalling win drivers and reboot?
Hi
I have the similar situation where my pluto is not detected in windows but working in linux.
I have two Plutos, Pluto1 and Pluto2.
Any help.
Thanks
IK
HI Guys,
Regarding the problem of Pluto 1 which was detected by Windows only as "libusb-win32". I discovered that somehow Windows10 (which I have on my laptop) was not using the complete drivers set that was installed for Pluto.
I then updated the driver manually. Even in this case, if you provide the location of driver files from your drive windows was not accepting it as "windows has found a best driver for this device". However there is an option which shows the list of available drivers for this device. When I clicked that it showed "USB COMPOSITE DEVICE" after selecting this as the driver and installed it as the driver manually all worked out.
Now in device manager I can see the pluto as storage device, usbser etc.
hope this helps!
Thanks and regards
IK
So how do you "update driver manually"? I do not see any driver in Device Manager.
Thanks for whatever you can tell me.
