ACADEME DAY 2020: WHAT’S THERE TO LOOK FORWARD TO?
By Mark Manato, Product Applications Engineer
This year, Analog Devices Technical Symposium celebrates 15 years of showcasing innovation and breakthroughs in creating what’s next not just in Analog Devices Philippines but also in the academe. The symposium will include a day dedicated to the students and faculty of different universities and colleges as well as high schools in the country, an event called the Academe Day.
While preparations for the conference are ongoing, let’s look at the highlights of the past and a sneak peak of the new additions to this year’s Academe Day.
THE PAPER PRESENTATION
The technical paper presentation is one of the highlights of Academe Day, gathering more than a hundred participants from different educational institutions as well as guests from other ADI sites. This shows how valued Academe Day is viewed both inside and outside ADI.
This segment of the one-day event showcases talents and breakthrough research from universities and colleges as well as several technical high schools in the Philippines.

ADI Partner Schools
During last year’s Academe Day, 136 students from 22 participating tertiary and secondary schools filled the training rooms of ADI Philippines. The participants came from as far as Saint Louis University in the north and Mindanao State University in the south.
Ten papers were selected to be presented out of the all-time high of 52 submissions. Ultimately, a research from University of the Philippines – Diliman bested the other nine to win the Best Paper award.
Paper abstract and demo submissions for Academe Day 2020 is open until February 14, 2020. For inquiries, email us at adts2020_academe@analog.com.
