Adding the XVC to Kuiper Linux should be possible, but it requires a few manual steps since Kuiper does not have the same automated build tools that PetaLinux does.

That said, someone with hands-on experience with Kuiper Linux would be more able to give you an answer, particularly about whether there are any quirks or missing pieces specific to that distribution that are not obvious from the PetaLinux documentation.

I would recommend reaching out to the AMD/Xilinx community forums or the ADI Kuiper Linux support channels, since someone there is likely to have already done this. The GitHub repository for the XVC source is a good starting point.

One more important thing. Regarding adding this to meta-adi: PetaLinux support there is being phased out as AMD moves toward a standard Yocto workflow, so we'd need a strong case to justify new features in that direction. We're still working out what the path forward looks like for meta-adi after PetaLinux is close to end of life.
