Is a Universal or MacSilicon version of Scopy being developed? MacOS will be losing Intel application support soon.
Up to our latest release (v2.2.0), default builds for Apple Silicon are not yet available. However, the Intel version can still be used through Rosetta 2.
For more details, see Apple’s official documentation:
Using Intel-based apps on a Mac with Apple silicon
I’m aware of that my concern is that Rosetta support will be removed soon.
We are working on a MacSilicon build.
please let me know when it's available, thank you.
I would like to add to urgency of a need for an Apple Silicon build. My experience with the Rosetta version is very poor. When I give public talks for https://mosbius.org Scopy crashes invariably on my M5 laptop. Very unfortunate. Even an early version of the Apple Silicon release might do better at this point. Thanks, I hope to get many more years of use out of my M2K's
Hi,
The Apple Silicon build is planned for our 2.3.0 release.
Thanks for the update, do let us know here when you release it.
