ADALM1000 impedance analyzer calibration

Thread Summary

The user is experiencing incorrect capacitance measurements with the ADALM1000 impedance analyzer, particularly in the 1nF to 1uF range. The support engineer suggests that the factory calibration should be sufficient and recommends reviewing the 'Impedance Analyzer / LCR Meter' section of the user guide for examples. For small capacitance values, the parasitic capacitance of the M1k (~400pF) can affect measurements, and an open circuit test followed by clicking the Zero button under Capacitance Offset can help null out this effect.

Hi,

I am trying to use ADALM1000 impedance analyzer.

It seems working correctly if I measured resistor. But if I measured capacitor, its value seems not correct.

I tried to perform calibration with:

https://wiki.analog.com/university/tools/m1k/alice/desktop-sa-ba-ia-users-guide

its expression is just one example and not include actual way of calibration in general.

Would you suggest me how to calibrate for measuring capacitor?

I wanted to measure 1nF to 1uF region.

Regards,

Satoru
