ADALM2000 Power boost board issue

Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD-M2KPWR-EBZ

I’m very happy to receive ADALM2000 learning module. However, I found an interesting phenomenon. Every time, when I connect ADALM 2000 Power boost board(AD-M2KPWR-EBZ), adjust it to +/-3.3V output then turn it off, I find +3.3V shows 1.253V output voltage (normally it should be 0V)
I have never seen it in the original ADALM2000 learning module.

  • Hi,

Where do you measure the 1.253V? On the output pins of ADALM2000 or on the output pins of AD-M2KPWR-EBZ? If you measure it at the output of the power boost board this is expected behaviour. The power booster board works by adjusting the FB pin of an onboard LTM8045( which is regulated to 1.215V) based on the output of the ADALM2000 power supplies.

When you turn off the ADALM2000 power supplies, their output enters a high impedance state and the opamp circuit in the feedback loop becomes a voltage repeater so the output of the LTM8045 will be at the same potential as the FB pin.
