Just bought a brand new AD9174-FMC-EBZ. Installed ACE bloatware.
Problem I cannot get the eval boad to do anything in response to the inputs on the ACE software.
AD9175-FMC-EBZ shall be operated in NCO only mode. 12V is connected (draws 245 mA, no matter what I do), blue jumper JP71 is present, micro USB is connected.
Windows 10 device manager shows an USB device as "AD9175-FMC-EBZ RevC" with exclamation mark next to it "no compatible driver installed"
On the ACE software, I tried to run the AD9174 module (note: The software these days looks completely differently than on the various tutorials on the ADI web page including menu items that one should click having been removed, etc.)
Nothing happens. The status line on the bottom reads "State=Unavailable, AD9174 - Ready". I can try to read or write registers. No matter what I do, the software always takes some seconds and then does not respond with any error but the hardware in turn does not do anything either. Blink LED? -> Nothing happens. Read registers -> It displays contents but they are the same whether I remove the USB cable or not.
This software needs some serious overhaul of the error reporting. There is no discernible difference whether the USB is connected.
==> How can I get the AD9175-FMC-EBZ work in NCO only mode and emit a simple 3 GHz carrier?
