Hello,

I plan to use 3 AD2428MINI's, with one as a master-node and the other two as slave-nodes.  When looking at the datasheet in the section that states the default position of the jumpers and their locations, it shows no pins at all.  There is just rectangle boxes labelled Px.  I doesn't show where pin 1 is or anything. There is no printing on the board indicating which is 1 and which is 3.  If you assume they go from left to right 1 to 3, you will be wrong.

There is 3 jumpers that have 3 pins, so knowing which is 1 and which is 3 is important in the "1-2 do this" and "2-3 do that" scheme.  A 2-pin jumper doesn't need orientation, we just need to know if it's on what does it do, and if it is off what does it do.  The screenshot below is from the manual.

So I pulled up the design file.  It shows for P3 Pin 1 is VOUT1, and Pin 3 is VOUT2, and since the silk-screening shows those values, I know it is Pin 1 to 3 from left to right.  For P6 it shows A2B_VBUS which is silk-screened on the board (LOCAL is silk-screened on the board and in the notes above it says Pin 2-3 is local), so I know this is also Pin 1 to 3 from left to right.

Now one could assume P4 will be Pin 1 to 3 from left to right.  However, the design file shows it as Pin 1 goes to R12, and Pin 3 is going to R13, and when I perform a simple continuity test the leftmost pin and the 'front' edge of R13 have a path, and the rightmost pin and the 'front' edge of R12 also have a path between them, meaning the order is Pin 3 to 1 from left to right.

I made a simple modification to the pin diagram in the datasheet.  

It would be nice if they could update the data sheet. Thank you.

    When identifying pins on a 3-pin connector mounted on the board, please note the following:

    The square hole or pad always represents Pin 1. The remaining round holes or pads represent Pin 2 and Pin 3 sequentially.

    By locating the square hole, you can reliably identify Pin 1 and then count the pins in order. This convention is standard in PCB design and ensures correct orientation when connecting.
