Slave nodes supported for AD2428

1. Yes, the AD2428 supports 16 subnodes in a daisy chain fashion.
2. Yes, there is a limitation on the number of subnodes based on the bandwidth utilized. The bandwidth utilization depends on the number of nodes, the number of upstream/downstream slots, cable length, and length delay. Once you draw a schematic in SigmaStudio/SigmaStudio+ (after installing the required A2B plugin), you may use it to calculate the bandwidth utilization.
3. Based on your end requirements, we can suggest the appropriate part. Could you please provide us with the details of your end requirements?

Our requirement is to use 16 A2B microphone modules , each module supports 2 channels. Does AD2428 support this 16 A2B microphone modules

Yes, it's possible. As I mentioned, the slot size and the number of slots are important factors. If you need to use it for your above requirement, the upstream slot size needs to be adjusted with the reduced bit size to achieve the bandwidth utilized for all 16 nodes (considering the necessary cable length and 2 slots each from all nodes.)

The best way to calculate this is to create a schematic in SigmaStudio or SigmaStudio+ and calculate the bandwidth accordingly.
