Do I need a HART source to evaluate the board?
a. Yes, in order to evaluate the HART protocol you will need to have access to a HART source.
Do you provide a HART stack?
a. No we do not provide a HART stack, we can only implement command 0 which is a simple command that confirms the presence of working HART device. Customers who wish to develop or purchase a full HART stack must work through the HART Communication Foundation where a list of HART stack providers is also available
What do I need if I want to to do further development?
If you want to do additional development work you will need a Cortex M3 core development kit….You may already have this if you have evaluated other Cortex M3 products from ADI.
You can find further information at http://www.analog.com/en/evaluation/EVAL-ADUCM360/eb.html
I have an older 20 pin JLink adaptor, can I use it?
a. The development kit for our ARM based products has been updated and now includes all you need on one board connected to the PC by USB and to our evaluation boards using a simple 4 pin header
What sensor do you recommend?
a. We have not included a sensor with the board enabling you to quickly connect your own sensor for evaluation -almost any sensor can be used with this demo board - you can can get further details in the circuit note documentaion
The sensor we used for evaluation purposes is a Honeywell 24PCDFA6D pressure sensor
