Hi,
I've recently bought EVAL-CN0221-EB1Z and inside box there is no thermocouple. Is it intentionally or by mistake? (BTW, in description figure 2 there is a picture with thermocouple)
In documentation there is no specific part number which you used for testing. In meantime I've learned that thermocouple type T slightly differs depends on vendor.
Other remarks: there is no stick-on feets on bottom side and in box are included two plastic screws with nuts which purpose I don't know ![]()
Regards
The circuit for EVAL-CN0221-EB1Z was tested with a precision voltage source that emulated a real Type T thermocouple output. We used the Table from this link on the Omega website to generate our Thermocouple look-up tables:http://www.omega.com/temperature/z/pdf/z207.pdf
Regarding the Bill of Materials, we had not intended providing a thermocouple with the evaluation kit.
I will check what the plastic screws and nuts are for - the thermocouple is supposed to screw into J5 on the PCB.
OK, I've ordered thermocouple and waiting ![]()
In meantime I've tried to connect with board but without success (of course I have FTDI driver installed (32b XP) and 9600 8-N-1 hyperterminal connected). Is any button / power-boot combination to start transmission or it should automatically?
Or maybe ADUCM is delivered blank? And btw, there is no source code in design support package as well as on the web.
Hi, the ADuCM360 parts are shipped in an erased state so, you will need to program it.
- Copy the full evaluation software and documentation package from this FTP site
- The hex file that you require is appended - use the CM3WSD application to program it - instructions for this application are included in the attached Get Started guide
ftp://ftp.analog.com/pub/MicroConverter/ADuCM360V1.0/
- After you have downloaded it, install the Keil uVision4 software
- To launch the Keil project, open the file CN0221.uvproj in the C:\ADuCM360V1.0\Code\examples\CN0221 folder.
Sorry for the inconvienience here, we will add instructions details to ensure this doesn't happen in future.
